Admission for PG Programmes (Session 2026-27):

USTM offers the following Post Graduate programmes under different departments for the academic session 2026-27:

  • M.Sc. in Medical Laboratory Sciences

  • M.Sc. Forensic Science
  • M.Sc. Nutrition and Dietetics
  • M.Sc. Emergency and Trauma Care Technology
  • M.Sc. Critical Care Technology
  • M.Sc. Anaesthesia and Operation Theatre (BAOTT)
  • M.Pharm (Pharmacology)

How to obtain the Application Form & Prospectus:

  1. Candidates seeking admission to any of the above-mentioned programmes at the University of Science & Technology Meghalaya (USTM), can fill up an online application through the “Apply Online” link on the home page of the website. After filling up all relevant information given in the online form applicant may submit the form after payment of application fee of Rs 1000/- ( 1500/- for MBA) only through Net banking/Debit Card/Credit card. After submission of the online form, applicants will receive a copy of the acknowledgement to their registered E-mail address; keep a hard copy of the acknowledgement for future reference. A hard copy of the acknowledgement need not be required to send /submit to the university.
  2. The candidate can obtain the prescribed Application form along with the prospectus from the Administrative Office of the university campus at 9th Mile, Kling Road, Baridua. The cost of the form & prospectus is Rs.1000/- (One thousand) only (Rs 1500/-One thousand five hundred, only for MBA).
  3. The Application Fee is non-refundable and no correspondence in this regard will be entertained.

Procedure for Submission of Application Form:

(i) An online application can be submitted by clicking the Apply Online link on the university’s website, “www.ustm.ac.in”. By using the “ustmentrar.com/login” page on this link, a candidate can submit the entire application form in several steps. It is possible to pay the required application fee of Rs. 1000/- (Rs. 1500/- for MBA and Rs. 2000/- for M.Sc. Allied Medical Science programmes) using credit cards, debit cards, or net banking.

(ii) The Application Fee is non-refundable and no correspondence on this subject will be entertained.

(iii) Three recent (passport size) coloured photographs duly self-attested should be affixed on the application form. Application forms with different photographs are liable to be rejected. These photographs are to be pasted with gum and should not be stapled or pinned. Photocopies of photographs are not acceptable.

(iv) Candidates are required to fill an application form in his/her own handwriting. If a candidate submits more than one application form for the same course, his/ her candidature is liable to be rejected.

(v) Application Form must be filled in and duly signed by the applicant.

(vi) Incomplete application form (s) shall be summarily rejected.

(vii) The last dates for acceptance of application form for each of the courses will be notified from time to time.

Selection Process:

Admission will be based on the basis of merit (percentage of marks secured in the qualifying examination) of the candidate. After scrutinizing the forms, the Controller of Examinations & Admissions will prepare the merit list & selected candidates will be informed.
For MBA admission, a written test (USTM-CAT) will be conducted by University, followed by a Personal Interview (PI) & Group Discussion (GD) at the university campus. Candidates having valid scorecards of CAT/MAT/XMAT etc will be exempted from USTM-CAT and such candidates may directly appear for PI & GD. The final merit list for admission in MBA will be prepared considering the percentage of marks in the qualifying examination, score of USTM-CAT/MAT/CAT/XMAT and marks obtained in PI & GD.
