Research Profile

My research profile encompasses a diverse range of investigations within the field of
astrophysical plasma physics and solar astrophysics. During my PhD, I concentrated
on nonlinear plasma phenomena, notably within Earth’s magnetosphere and
protoplanetary disks. My research included the development of theoretical plasma
models addressing ion and electron thermal anisotropy, the incorporation of the
Finite Larmor Radius (FLR) effect in Magnetohydrodynamics (MHD) plasma
modeling, and the exploration of electrostatic solitons in protoplanetary disks with
asymmetric electron velocity distributions.
In my current research pursuits in solar astrophysics, I am primarily engaged in
observing and analyzing solitary structures within the solar atmosphere, studying
Coronal Mass Ejections (CME), and investigating Geomagnetic storms. My work
demonstrates a commitment to understanding complex plasma interactions and
phenomena in both astrophysical and solar contexts.

Achievements:

INTERNATIONAL AWARD/FELLOWSHIP
• Worked as a summer student at Rutherford Appleton Laboratory (RAL) and
University of York, England from 23rd June to 23rd July 2017 under the NewtonBhabha fellowship programme during which I attended the 44th EPS Conference on Plasma Physics hosted by Queen’s University, Northern Ireland.

NATIONAL AWARD/ FELLOWSHIP
• UGC Basic Scientific Research (BSR) JRF/SRF from the year 2013-2018.
• Science and Technology Research Board (SERB), International Travel Support
(ITS) Section, Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of
India, for participating in 44th EPS Conference On Plasma Physics to be held 26-
06-2017 To 30-06-2017 in Belfast, Northern Ireland (UK), Ireland.
• INSC Young Researcher Award 2023 by InSc Institute of Scholars certified and
registered under Govt. of India for the work “Modeling aperiodic
magnetospheric oscillations”.
