Webinar on Cyber Security and Digital Generation in the Context of Education
Baridua, 9th Mile, Meghalaya, 10th July 2021: Professor Qoumrul Hoque, School of Education, University of Science and Technology Meghalaya had organized a webinar on “Cyber Security and Digital Generation in the context of Education”. The major objective of the program was to make everyone aware about the growing digitalization among generations and cyber crime which need to be securitized. The program was moderated by TajbinaYasin, Asst Professor, Department of Education.
Prof. Jonali Chetia , Dean of PQHSE , welcomed all the dignitaries and briefed about the topic, followed by key note address by Prof. G.D Sharma, honourable Vice Chancellor of USTM.
Mr Biraj Das, Superintendent of Police (Communication) Assam, delivered his speech on Dark Web and it’s cloaked illegal activity. Where he talked about Sun Tzu who had written a book “The Arc of War” and discussed about the advanced knowledge. He shared detailed information about digital electronics, computer science and relationship between human and computer, later he revealed the path of dark web.
Dr Suresh Sundaram, Associate Professor IIT Guwahati. He talked about the AI based approach towards cyber security applications. He gave detailed explanation on AI based programmes.
Lastly, Dr. ShraddhaBasu, Teaching Associate, Department of Psychology, Gauhati University, Assam. She focused on the benefits of digitalization to enhance Neuro-cognitive skills among children and adolescents. She gave an elaborative explanation on neuro-cognitive domains and pin pointed the major advantages and disadvantages of digitalization among children and adolescents.
