Meghalaya Governor launches new Pharmaceutical College
Badarpur, Karimganj, Assam, 26th July 2020: Meghalaya Governor Shri Tathagata Roy today officially launched the ‘ALLAMA TR COLLEGE OF PHARMACY’, a new institution of ERD Foundation, Guwahati, through a virtual launching ceremony organised over Zoom App with active participation of eminent dignitaries across the Northeast India. The welcome address was given by Shri Mahbubul Hoque, Chancellor,USTM and Chairman, ERDF/ATRCP after which the inaugural speech was delivered by Shri Tathagata Roy. Addressing the people, Shri Roy said “Emergence of a new educational institution especially during this period of Global pandemic is definitely a good news for the entire educational scenario of the Region.” “Being able to launch an institution situated at another place by sitting in a different location with active live interaction with various dignitaries residing over different places itself is a major proof of technological development that human kind have achieved so far” he further added. The Keynote Address was given by Prof. Dipika Deka, VC, SSUHS which was followed by the short speeches by various dignitaries including Prof. Dilip Ch. Nath, VC, AU, Prof. GD Sharma, VC, ABVV, Prof. Rajat Gupta, Director, NIT-Mizoram, Dr. Dhiraj Bora, VC, ASTU, Prof. Vinoid Kr. Jain, VC, Tezpur University, Prof. KRS Sambasiva Rao, VC, Mizoram University. The mega launching ceremony came to an end with the Presidential Remark by Maulana Yousuf Ali Saheb. It is wortrh mentioning here that considering the ongoing COVID 19 pandemic, it was decided to launch the first batch of the ALLAMA TR COLLEGE OF PHARMACY through virtual platform today.
