USTM, 31st May 2018: Education, Research and Development Foundation (ERDF) is the largest & fastest growing educational network in the North Eastern region, with an aim to provide and bring the quality education to the door step of the students of North East and especially in the rural areas. ERDF has established 2 CBSE Schools and a degree college in remote parts of Barak Valley. This part of South Assam like other remote parts of Northeast is facing challenges in terms of quality higher education and which needs attention and expert guidance. Keeping this in view ERD foundation has appointed Dr Bibhash Dev, the former Director College Development Council (CDC) of Assam University Silchar as the Academic Advisor for the institutions functioning in the greater Barak valley under the flagship the Foundation.
“Dr Bibhash Dev will be guiding, assessing and implementing the academic and administrative objectives and initiative of the ERD Foundation in its different institutions and his expertise and experience will definitely ensure the quality growth of our institutions”, said the Hon’ble Chairman of ERD Foundation Shri Mahbubul Hoque. Shri Hoque further said that Dr Dev is associated with ERDF in the journey for quite some time and he is well aware about the mission, vision and expertise of ERDF in order to run the academic institutions”.
It is worth mentioning that ERDF is catering education from KG to PG to PhD by successfully running 2 CBSE Schools, 2 Professional Colleges, one Engineering College, an University and a Centre for Coaching & Guidance, making the foundation one of the largest educational network of the region. In Barak Valley, the CBSE schools are located in Badarpur and Patharkandi and Khairun Nessa Begum Women’s College(KBWC) IS in Badarpur SrIgauri.
