SPECIALIZATION: Organic chemistry

RESEARCH BACKGROUND:

Research is done in organic synthesis.

  • Different Solid supported reagents and ionic liquids are prepared and their catalytic activities are determined.
  • A number of medicinally active compounds are synthesized using different polymer supported reagents. These compounds are also synthesized under microwave irradiation using the ionic liquids in solvent free condition.
  • Finally, the catalytic activities of both the catalysts are compared by performing a comparative study on these pharmaceutically active compounds.
