The objective behind organizing
the meet was that with the rapid growth of private schools, junior colleges and
other such institutions outside the state results in the exodus of these
students to other states outside the North East. Initiatives like this meet will
help promote IT enabled teaching and learning in this region of the country
resulting in NE region coming at par with the national level institutions in the
field of education.
The various participators in this
meet have appreciated this initiative of USTM. They have stated that they have
been benefitted by the various Technical sessions and that such an initiative
will help them guide the students better in a situation where all the importance
from government goes to the degree colleges of the locality rather than the
junior colleges.
